I’m inspired to write about a common scenario: someone we know is suffering in some way. We see the solution, but they just won’t take it. This can make us feel frustrated and helpless. Connect with this feeling right now. That feeling of frustration and not being able to change their condition.

“If my friend/relative/partner would just ____________________, the problem they are having would be solved or least easier to deal with!”
“Why doesn’t this person make this change in their life? Can’t they see that it’s causing so much suffering and is at the center of their problems?”

Yes, on some level they know this. You can try to convince them to make the change and improve their situation, but it won’t fix anything. Yes, they/we forget who we are so that we can fully immerse ourselves into this experience of separation and duality. On the surface, it looks like they are fools or just can’t take care of themselves. They are just wanting to have this particular experience and if this change is made, then they will have to recreate the experience. The reason why some people won’t make the obvious (to you) change is because they are in the middle of the experience. There are no victims.

Now, connect with the feeling that all is happening perfectly. All is well. We’re all having our own experiences. Nobody needs to be saved or fixed…only our perception. Now doesn’t that feel betta’ huh?
